Survivor is at it again. Well, Jeff Probst may have found a new idea that nobody wanted to touch. He has a new card to play in the reality game genre. He is playing the race card or the ethnic card. Survivor according to ethnic group. Well, many observers are saying that he is trying to face the culture of white TV in America. Why can't CBS or any other network try something new this time? Group the contestants by ethnic group. Hispanic, White, Black and Asian contestants will be competing. It will be interesting to see which team works better together.
Jeff Probst recognizes the history of segregation in this country. But he convinced the big guys at CBS to let him try this idea. Survivor Cook Islands will be like a lab test. It will be a race of races. Something to watch and comment on in this blog space.
Quinceanera Reality Show on Telemundo: "Quincenera: Mama Quiero Ser Artista (Mom, I Want To Be A Star)"
Second or third generations of US latinos are reconnecting with their culture and traditions. In fact, there is a lot beauty in the Hispanic culture. But for many years, there was a certain neglect of the culture and language. Now there is a resurgence of interest in anything latino of hispanic. Quinceneras are as Hispanic, Mexican, Puerto Rican and any latin American country tradition as apple pie is in the American cultural landscape. Speaking Spanish in public used to be seen as bad. Now, it is cool to be bilingual and be able to speak English and Spanish at the same time or even in the same sentence. What is even more interesting is that other ethnic groups have started to learn Spanish to use it at work, school and overseas. Asians as well as Caucasian kids are learning Spanish. African American youngsters are learning to speak the language of Cervantes. Quinceneras have always been popular in the Hispanic culture. As long as there Hispanic people, Mexicans, Central Americans and South Americans who are willing to come to the US, Quinceneras are going to be celebrated.
What are some of the factors that come into play as you are ready to
buy a car?
Various opinion polls tend to show that
fuel economy is
one of the most important criteria that most car buyers take into
consideration. Well, that does not mean that they do not look at the
other factors. Items such as reliability, purchase price, safety
features, performance, incentives, interior design, comfort, styling,
and other rather discretionary things. Now the question is whether we,
Americans, are going to give up our trucks for sedans. When trucks or
SUVs came on the market, every consumer rushed to get one. Since that
time, crossover vehicles have become very popular. There is a better
chance that consumers will adopt crossover vehicles before going back
to
sedans.
No wonder that more and more people are stopping by once-pricey vehicle
dealerships to buy them. More and more SUVS and crossover vehilces are
available. The price of the gallon of gasoline affects everyone.
Toyota has come to be synonymous with reliability and dependability.
So
are Honda, Acuara and Lexus.
